Run Your Household Like a CEO

At work, we prioritize structure: clear owners, deadlines, regular check-ins. Yet we rarely apply that same rigor to our home lives, which often feel disorganized by comparison. It isn’t that we value home life less (we value it most of all), but that we’re so busy doing everything that we rarely step back to be intentional about how things at home get done.

Meanwhile, our home lives are full of recurring tasks that are prime for systems: laundry that gets done on the same day each week, a standing Sunday grocery order, ten minutes of tidying every night after dinner. Running your household like a CEO simply means looking across everything your home life requires and asking questions like: what can be automated, what can be decided once and left on autopilot, and what – if it’s in budget – can be handed off entirely. (Research consistently ranks chores among our least happy uses of time.)

As the fall rush approaches, it’s a natural time to put a system or two in place. At Easyfeast, we think dinner is the perfect place to start.
